Whole Foods in Oregon After COVID-19 / Coronavirus Outbreak - Prepping for Non-Preppers

🛒 “Gluten-Free, Item-Free Shelves” 🛒

By now, most of us have seen the huge lines at Costco, Target and Wal-Mart, so I wanted to venture a bit off the beaten path.

As news has broken there seem to be waves of concern and shopping that start at Costco and Wal-Mart, and then extend to Target, and then to the regular grocery stores like Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Albertsons. With the latest news I want to see how more “specialty” stores were holding up with demand.

Some people may consider Whole Foods to be specialty or premium (read “expensive”) while others may consider to be their regular store because of diet or convenience. We have one close to our house and shop there for certain items regularly, so I thought it would be a good candidate to see how things are going.

A couple of caveats to this video:
1. I shot this video on Saturday but due to a variety of technical issues couldn’t get it loaded until today. I have visited the store a couple of time since the video was shot, and the state of the store has remained identical.
2. When talking to the staff, they reassured me that food was coming in and they were getting regular deliveries, they just can’t keep the shelves stocked to keep pace with the demand.

If you have a store you’d like us to check out or a topic you’d like us to cover, please let us know in the comments and we’ll add it to our list! 👇👇👇
