The risks of a small-scale SHTF (Sh*t Hit The Fan) scenario or localized emergency happening at some point is high enough, where having a BOB (Bug Out Bag) is a worthwhile idea for most people. A good 72 hour survival kit with enough kit, gear, food, water, & supplies to help you evacuate to your predetermined bug out location.
If you're new to the concept of Bugging out & Bug Out Bags (or prepping in general), I've put together this easy to digest video to explain the fundamentals of Bug Out Bags and their purpose.
